βAn oasis of peace, warmth and friendly homeliness away from home..β
Having use of the hotel lounge area made all the difference! It would have been practically impossible to keep up my schedule and activities without having a warm peaceful place to work in the evenings (and a warm cup of tea). Showers lovely clean and water plenty and warm, and a beautiful spot on smooth level (not-puddled) grass for my tent too.. Great atmospheric place, very friendly and helpful hosts (even came in to cook for me on their day off!)

“Amazing staff, dog friendly and lots of spots to picnic“
Andrew and Paula were the nicest people I’ve met. If you’re looking for a guesthouse this is a great option. We stayed in a very comfortable tent with 2 double beds which looked over the fabulous surroundings in which we enjoyed some lovely walks in nature. The food was excellent and we were blown away with how much the owners bent over backwards to accommodate us. Will definitely revisit soon π

“Free stay for charity walkers”
I arrived here while walking a 900 mile charity walk. The owner was very supportive and in view of my task refused payment. He even went further as the weather was atrocious with heavy rain all night, so instead of having to pitch my own tent, he allowed me to take one of his permanently pitched safari tents. I had a very comfortable night.

“Superb”

This was a lovely campsite run by friendly and attentive staff. Situated around a few miles from Milngavie, and a short distance from the West Highland Way, I stayed for two nights before setting off on the way. I camped in a wooded area in the garden (room for small tents), although there was also a large lawn with space to camp. Breakfast was included at the hotel on site (continental atm due to distancing) which was a bonus, and the staff were very happy to make you a cup of tea throughout the day if you went up to ask at the kitchen window!

Beautiful and nice campsite in a very nice area. The located hotel offered a nice dinner and breakfast as well as a cup of tea as we arrived. We would definitely come again.
Very dog friendly. Good and clean facilities.
Long story short: Everything you need.
Jeff is one of many visitors who stop over and stay for longer than planned. It’s that kind of place…:)
